Create/Edit a post, give it a title, and fill in the content area with the event details.
Add the event to a special Events category (e.g. “Events”)
Schedule the Event.
In Appearance > Theme Options > General (section), set the Events Category option.
Lastly, create/edit a page and set it to use the “Events” page template.
